At the heart of The Social Sangha, we come together to share and learn about teachings from both secular and traditional Buddhist practices. Our intention is to cultivate inner peace through reduced suffering in ourselves and in the world around us. The learning includes practical tools for taking the practice off the cushion and into our daily lives.
It can be supportive of our practice to have a time and place set aside for meditation. The energy of the group can be helpful getting us to the cushion. The Social Sangha sets aside time each week for silent and guided meditation.
We come together to support one another in the practice. It can be deeply nourishing to spend time with other people on the Path. We foster community at all events and hold a monthly potluck.
We offer two programs each week and a potluck once a month. Please see our Calendar for more details!
